SOLAR
VAMPIRES
Digital zine by Maja Starakiewicz & Magda Starakiewicz  published in 2026 The starting point for this ephemeral website was a series of figures painted in acrylic on wood. A series of figures emerged and demanded names... And the names began to demand stories Â
They incarnate fearless restoration and love mosquitoes and mud for you. The ephemeral super-creatures knit futures from manifestos.

I lived in a tall, blue housh
Had a dog and a moush,
One day a sherapist told meÂ
What my housh reshembles
And frightened by the phallic shape I trembled!
Good I have no spoush
And can eshcape with the dogÂ
and the moush
Stan
Errkzzzz, grrr grrr!
Dearest, most exquisite guests! The Platform has the pleasure to invite to the stage our beloved expert and influencer, Stan Kowalski! Let’s give Stan the applause he deserves! — exclaimed the presenter, raising his hands in the air. The crowd cheers vividly.
Stan blinks a bit anxiously with one eye and staring at the crowd slowly walks up to the podium. After a little struggle he walks onto it to start the lecture.
Have you ever felt like your life is out of control? I did… but whenever I’m sad I remember that we are not our possessions, and everything passes. Above all, focus on buying experiences, not things.
See? — jumps in the presenter — Definitely not JUST another grass mower!
Ördög
Two faces of the same face, but are they really? No one can be sure. They are a humble soul-collector, quite liked among creatures of the underworld for their quirky jokes. Just a regular Isten employee, who sometimes has bad days, because human souls get less and less nutritious these days and the walls which they used to hide in are made even thinner by greedy estate developers.Â
What can you say, bubbala, it is what it is. — they mumble whenever asked about work.
Empusa
She is Zeus’s last, and thus perfect render. Half vampire, half woman, completely unrelated to Count Dracula, but even if she was, she would be more of a Van Helsing. One foot of bronze and the other one fluffy. The ultimate fierce witch. A vibe. If blood’s for dinner then definitely in a thick crystal glass, with a little savoury tartine on the side.Â
No crust.Â
Giuseppina
Traces of her weirdly disappear somewhere in Venice, Italy, where she supposedly served as a mekubbal to many local aristocrats for 7 years, to then brew love potions for the bishop of Padua and occasionally engage in mysterious rituals at the court of the House of Esterházy. Some claim she was seen crying at Le Nozze di Figaro at least 11 times in different places, but some snort and judge that she is just a scam.
If we leave a gap in our sleeping brains we may encounter some, because we can hope for something. You will recognise them by being unspeakably cute. However tempting, don't allow them to kiss you, though.Â
